Setting - Department of Reproductive Physiology: a research,
service and clinical environment
Lingua Medica operates from the Department of Reproductive
Physiology, in Bartholomew Close, a short distance from the hospitals
central square.
In addition to supplying essential radioimmunoassay services to the hospital,
the Department has played a leading role in reproductive endocrine research
in the 25 years since its creation by the late Prof
Tim Chard whose scientific writing skills - several books and over
500 papers, chapters & reviews - and precocious interest in computing
provided an inspirational environment for a succession of prolific clinicians
and research fellows, and, since the early 1980s, for Lingua Medica.
